Connect an Outlook calendar
You can connect an Outlook calendar to Booost so its events appear alongside everything else. You'll need to publish the calendar in Outlook first, then paste the link it gives you into Booost.
Publish your calendar in Outlook
You'll need a computer for this part – Outlook's mobile app doesn't offer the option you need.
- Go to Outlook and sign in to the account your calendar belongs to.
- Select the cog icon in the top toolbar to open 'Settings'.
- Select 'Calendar'.
- Select 'Shared calendars'.
- Under 'Publish a calendar', choose the calendar you'd like to add.
- Choose 'Can view all details'.
- Select 'Publish'.
- Two links appear. Copy the second one, labelled 'ICS'.
Publishing creates a link that works for anyone who has it, so don't share it.
If you can't see 'Shared calendars'
School, college and university accounts sometimes have calendar sharing switched off. If the option isn't there, it's not something you can change yourself – your timetabling, IT or disability team will be able to tell you whether sharing can be enabled for your account.
If it can't, you may still be able to bring your timetable in another way. See Add an external calendar.
Connect it to Booost
- Select 'Account' (the person icon) on the navigation bar. On web: 'Account' is at the bottom of the left-hand panel.
- Select 'Connected calendars'.
- Select 'Add calendar'.
- Paste in the link you copied.
- Select 'Next'.
- Give your calendar a name. This is how you'll recognise it in your list of connected calendars.
- Select 'Connect to calendar'.
Booost confirms once your calendar is connected.
Booost brings in the next 90 days of events and checks for changes every 24 hours. If you can't see events further ahead than that, your calendar is connected correctly – those events will appear as the dates come closer.
If your events haven't appeared yet, see Events not showing.
