Set up a repeating event
Some things happen again and again – a weekly seminar, a Monday-morning start, winding down before bed. Setting an event to repeat means you only add it once, and it appears in your calendar every time it happens.
- Open your event, or add a new one with Quick Add.
- Select 'Repeat'.
- Choose how often it happens: every day, every week, every second week, every month, every year, weekdays, or weekends.
- Select 'Save'.
Your event now appears in your calendar on each of those days. To stop it repeating, open it, select 'Repeat' and choose 'Never'.
What repeating events are good for
- Anything timetabled – lectures, seminars, labs, shifts, appointments
- Daily habits – a walk, medication, a set time to check your emails
- Rituals that start or end the day – a morning routine on weekdays, or winding down each evening
Repeating events work well for anything you'd otherwise have to remember to add – the sort of thing that's easier when it's already in your calendar waiting for you.
If you set up routines before this update, they're still in your calendar and you can still edit them. New repeating things are set up as repeating events instead, using the steps above.
