Activating your Booost Account

Before you can start using your Booost, you will need to activate your account. This article explains how to activate your account and provides troubleshooting steps if you're having trouble activating your account.

How to activate your Booost account
You will receive an email with your licence key - click the button that says ‘Activate your account’. This will take you to our Booost Activation page.
Here, you can copy and paste your activation code, fill in your name and email, and create a password for your account.
Once you’ve completed these steps, you can log into your account and get started with Booost!
Booost is an account-based software. If you are accessing it from a new device, you don't need to activate your account again. You can access Booost by logging in using your email address and the password created when first activating your account, or request a password reset.
What to do if you haven't received an email
If you think that you should have received an 'Activate your account' email and haven't, please check your spam/junk folders. You can also search your inbox for the phrase "Welcome to Booost".
If you are a DSA student, you should have placed your order with your Assistive Technology Service Provider before getting in touch.
If you haven't received an email with your licence key and details:
- If you are a DSA student, make sure that you've placed your order with your Assistive Technology Service Provider. If they confirm that they have placed the order with us, please get in touch with our Support team.
- If you purchased your licence yourself directly from our website, please get in touch with our Support team.
- If your school or university has directly provided you with a Luna licence, please contact the staff member who organises your licences.

How to manually activate your account
You can also activate your account 'manually' (without clicking on the link in the email).
Before you start, you'll need:
- Your Booost licence key (from the licence activation email)
- Your email address (where you have received the licence activation email)
To activate your account:
- Open the Booost app or Booost web app.
- Click ‘Activate account’.
- Copy and paste your licence key into the ‘Licence key’ field. Make sure there are no spaces before or after the number.
- Click ‘Next’.
- Enter your first name. You can change this at any time in ‘Account’.
- Enter the email address where you received the licence key. Make sure that there are no capital letters in your email address.
- Click ‘Next’.
- Choose your password, and check that both passwords match.
- Click ‘Finish’.
What to do if you are having trouble activating your account
If you are having trouble activating your account, try the tips below:
- Try activating your account manually, using the instructions above.
- Check that your licence code is correct and make sure there are no spaces before or after it when you copy and paste it.
- Check the email address that you enter. Make sure:
- That it is the same email address that the licence activation email was sent to
- There are no spelling mistakes or typos in the email
- There are no capital letters in the email address. It should all be lower case.
