Booost your day
Booost Your Day looks through the rest of your day and finds the gaps between everything you've got on. For each gap it offers you a choice: use it to focus on something, or use it to recharge.
It's for the moments when you know you've got time but can't work out what to do with it. Rather than facing a whole day at once, you're looking at the next free half hour and making one small decision about it.
Where to find it
Open your calendar and select the rocket icon in the top right.
On web: switch to Day view first, then select 'Booost Your Day' in the top right. It isn't available in Week or Month view, since Booost Your Day works on one day at a time.
What you'll see
What's coming up – your current or next event, so you know what you're working around.
Your free slots – each one 30 minutes, with the time it starts.
'Good time to work' – this appears on slots that fall inside the times you've told Booost you focus best. See Set when you work best.
A choice for each slot – the focus icon sets the slot aside for focusing on a task, the lightning bolt for recharging.
Set aside as many slots as you'd like, then select 'Done'.
How free slots work
Booost highlights any gap in your day with at least 30 minutes free. A slot starts as soon as the gap does, so if an event finishes at 14:45, your slot starts at 14:45.
Gaps shorter than 30 minutes aren't highlighted. What you're offered is always a proper stretch to work in, not an awkward scrap of time between two things.
When to use it
- At the start of the day, to see what your time actually looks like
- When plans change, and the shape of your day is suddenly different
- When you're stuck, and choosing between one free half hour and the next is easier than choosing what to do with the whole afternoon
