Manage your tasks
Your task list is grouped by importance, so you can see what's pressing without reading everything. You can change how it's grouped, tick things off, and bring back anything you've completed.
How your list is organised
Tasks are grouped by importance to begin with, with a count beside each group:
- 'Must do'
- 'Will do'
- 'Might do'
- 'No importance set'
Select a group to open or close it, so you can concentrate on one at a time.
On web your groups appear side by side as columns rather than stacked.
Change how your list is grouped
- Select the three dots at the top of your task list. On web: select the group button in the top right – it shows how your list is grouped now.
- Choose 'Importance', 'Due date' or 'No grouping'.
'Due date' is useful when deadlines are the thing on your mind. 'No grouping' gives you one straight list.
Show more or less on each card
Turn 'Expanded cards' on to see the next item on each task's checklist, or off for a more compact list. Expanded cards are handy when you're picking up where you left off; the compact view is easier to scan when you've got a lot on.
Set a task's importance
- Open your task.
- Select 'Importance'.
- Choose 'Must do', 'Will do' or 'Might do'.
- Select 'Save'.
You can also set importance as you add a task with Quick Add.
Importance affects which task Booost puts in front of you on your home screen. See Your top priority task.
Complete a task
Select the circle on the right of a task to tick it off.
A short countdown appears as it goes, so if you've ticked the wrong one you've got a few seconds to undo it.
See what you've completed
- Select the three dots at the top of your task list. On web: select the group button in the top right.
- Select 'Completed tasks'.
Bring a task back
From your completed tasks, select the circle beside a task to untick it. It returns to your list with its due date and importance as they were.
If you'd rather start it fresh – a weekly reading, say, or something you do each term – duplicate it instead. See Edit an event or task.
