Events not showing

If you've connected a calendar but can't see its events in Booost, it's usually one of a few things – and most are quick to fix.

Give it a little time

A newly connected calendar can take up to 24 hours to appear in full. After that, Booost checks for changes every 24 hours.

Booost also brings in the next 90 days of events. If everything nearby looks right but events further ahead are missing, that's expected – they'll appear as the dates come closer.

Ask Booost to check now

If you'd rather not wait for the next check:

  1. Select 'Account' (the person icon) on the navigation bar. On web: 'Account' is at the bottom of the left-hand panel.
  2. Select 'Connected calendars'.
  3. Select the circular arrows icon beside your calendar to fetch its events again straight away.

Booost fetches your calendar again straight away.

Check the connection is still working

Changing your password, updating your security settings, or changing sharing permissions in Google, Outlook or iCloud can stop Booost reaching your calendar.

If you've done any of those recently, disconnecting the calendar and connecting it again usually fixes it. See Manage your connected calendars to disconnect, then Add an external calendar to set it up again.

Check the link

If your events have never appeared, the link may not be the right one. The address needs to be in iCal or .ics format, and the calendar needs to be shared. The steps for your calendar provider are here:

If you're connecting a Google calendar

Connecting a Google calendar over one that's already connected can cause an error. See Google Calendar connection errors.

Still not showing?

Get in touch and let us know:

  • Which calendar you're connecting – Google, Outlook, iCloud or something else
  • Any error message or code you've seen
  • Whether the calendar appears under Account → Connected calendars
  • Whether it's all events missing, or only some

That gives us what we need to fix it quickly.
